New year, fresh start! Maria Maleta decided that it is time to start contributing to cleaner beaches and oceans without plastics. So, we are pleased to announce that we are the more recent Big Blue Ocean Cleanup partner. The Big Blue Ocean Clean Up is an international non-profit organization whose main goals include preventing and cleaning beaches and oceans. You can know more about this organization on their website: https://www.bigblueoceancleanup.org/
Besides being a personal choice, we believe that it is the right moment to join our brand to this cause. Hopefully, we can inspire more companies and individuals to join.
Knowing that the environmental imbalance comes from oceans' pollution and the fact that we deal with this every day, we believe that this was an important issue to support.
Both Maria Maleta and Big Blue Ocean Clean Up share similarities. After all, we both believe in a circular economy, we work directly with plastic treatment and recycling centers, and we try to come up with different sustainable materials. You can check some of these products in our "Sustainable" collection.
Join the cause!
When you buy a Maria Maleta product, 3% of your purchase amount goes to Big Blue Ocean Cleanup. Besides, anytime you go to the beach or near the beach, you can take the time to collect the trash that you can find. This way, you'll automatically be a part of the movement that helps cleaning beaches and oceans. While this seems too little, together we can make a huge difference.
WE HAVE REMOVED OVER 1 MILLION KG OF RUBBISH FROM THE OCEANS.
WE ARE ON A MISSION TO END OCEAN POLLUTION.
In the future, we will have a beach cleaning event near Porto, Portugal.
Coastal cleaning can be entirely rewarding, because you’re consciously helping to protect our natural environment as well as your local area, and they can be a great opportunity to meet new friends.
If you are interested in taking part in one of our coastal cleanup events send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you all the information.
